
GesLearn ShatinI Home Page
GesLearn ® ShatinI or simply referred to as ‘ShatinI’ (System Hosting Assessment & Teaching Item Network, Internet version) is written in Php language and Mysql. The software has been tested to run on Linux server. On the clients side, however, it needs to run on Microsoft Internet Explorer or Edge (IE option). (ActiveX on Edge) It is a web-based system that enables storage, update, retrieval and administration of Examination/Testing Items. It works with several other softwares: GesLearn®-ExamAnalysis, GesLearn®-Shatin and the IRT (Item Response Theory) analysis output of the R-project (www.r-project.org). It can import the CTT (Classical Test Theory) item analysis report of GesLearn-ExamAnalysis and the IRT analysis report. In additional to the functions of the PC-based Shatin on storage and retrieval of exam items, it enables administration of on-line Exams, administration of workshops, online assignment submission and marking, posting of Teaching Materials, Notices, Forum discussions, Workshop administration, Course evaluations as well as communications with students.
